The idea for Pillow Dreams Project was born in 2003 when we volunteered in an infant home in Malawi, Africa, serving children that had lost their parents to AIDS. We were impressed with the courage and positive attitudes of these people, who face extreme hardship and lack of opportunities.
At Pillow Dreams Project our vision is to contribute to a fair trade economy in the world, to preserve and develop local traditional crafts, and to support projects that benefit the children in the continents where the pillows are made.
We recognize that more and more people around us can see the social and economic disparities in the world. By purchasing products from Pillow Dreams Project you are not only supporting the women who make the unique products, and the children who benefit from our donations, but you are also receiving a beautiful product.
